Working with indigenous people to conserve Borneo's natural capital and ecosystem
services for long-term sustainability of life on our planet.
Natural Capital is defined as the world's stocks of natural assets which include water, geology, soil, air, carbon, all living things and the places of cultural significance to people. It is from this natural capital that humans derive a wide range of services, often called ecosystem services, that make human life possible and fulfilling.
Ecosystem Services is described as the direct and indirect contributions ecosystems (known as natural capital) provide for human health, wellbeing, and quality of life. This can be in a practical sense, providing food, water, climate regulation and addresses the cultural needs of society.
